A big thank you to each of you who completed this year’s preceptor survey! Each year we ask our rural and regional preceptors for feedback as we review the rural educational programs that are delivered in your communities.
The Clerkship, FMR2 and RFM survey results are important; they tell us what we are doing well and where we can improve. This year we heard concerns about the challenges of electronic communication, a ‘too-full’ inbox and ambiguity about who to contact when educational issues arise. In response to your feedback, we are working to consolidate preceptor communications through this newsletter, as well, highlighting emails that need your response in the subject line. We also heard that it can be difficult to know whom to contact when issues arise; we will be working to ensure that DLRI can be a resource to you, connecting you to the resources you need!
