Simulation Funding
Distributed Learning and Rural Initiatives creates opportunities to further medical learning in rural communities. Funding is available for simulation equipment to provide learners with a valuable real-time experience.
For 2018-2019, DLRI has $30,000 available from Alberta Health to support residency training in rural/regional communities. DLRI invites you to submit a proposal on behalf of your residency training program.
DLRI Connects Rural Alberta to Health Care
In an effort to reach out to the smaller Alberta communities where CSM medical students and doctors-in-training learn their skills, the CSM started a series called House Call. The event features physicians and researchers speaking about topics of interest in the community, raising awareness of the connection between research and advances in medicine and health care available to rural Albertans.
