The Brain Injury Fellowship Training Program

The Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Calgary is excited to offer a Brain Injury Fellowship Training Program.

This fellowship is fully funded by the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI), one of the top neuro-research institutes in the world.

A variety of clinical and research opportunities during this fellowship can be explored based on the interests of the candidate, including:

  1. Inpatient neuro-rehabilitation ward and consultation experience in the management of moderate to severe acquired brain injury
  2. Outpatient experience assessing and managing the spectrum of brain injury, from mild to very severe brain injuries and following patients in the community longitudinally
  3. Procedural training, including nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections
  4. Sports-related concussion and injuries
  5. Research opportunities and potential partnerships with world class researchers from the HBI and University of Calgary

The duration of the fellowship will range from 12 to 24 months, depending on the clinical and research objectives determined collaboratively between the applicant and the Fellowship Program.
