Academic Position in Neurosurgery
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, in partnership with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research institute (ACHRI) and the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI) invites applications for a Contingent Term position at the Assistant Professor level.
Qualifications include an MD, and Canadian Royal College specialist certification in Neurosurgery, graduate level research training with an advanced degree and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. A strong track record of scholarly activity, with 10 or more peer-reviewed publications, is desired in the preferred candidate. Clinical fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery will be an asset to broaden the scope of practice for the appropriate candidate.
The successful candidate will join the Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Calgary. They will be expected to provide exceptional clinical care with a focus on Hydrocephalus.
