Section Head, Neurosurgery

The Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, in conjunction with Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone, invites INTERNAL applications for a 5 year appointment to provide leadership to the Section of Neurosurgery as its administrative, research, educational and clinical chief. As the Head of the Section of Neurosurgery, the successful candidate will be expected to provide excellent management, visionary leadership and the ability to engage and work collaboratively with key stakeholders in AHS and University of Calgary. The position is approximately 0.30 effort within the Neurosurgery AMHSP. A leadership stipend will be provided.

General Neurosurgery Locums in Calgary

The Section of Neurosurgery is inviting applications for Neurosurgeons, with an interest in doing 9-12 month locums. Qualifications include an MD and a specialist certificate in Neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.  You must be a Canadian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) status in Canada. We are not able to consider anyone for locums without these qualifications.

Academic Spinal Neurosurgeon Position

The Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, invites applications for a position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Qualifications include an MD, Canadian Royal College specialist certification in Neurosurgery, clinical fellowship training in spinal surgery, and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. A strong track record of scholarly activity, with at least 10 or more peer-reviewed publications, is desired in the preferred candidate.
