Indigenous Health Dialogue
Location: Cumming School of Medicine, Calgary, Alberta.
Dates: This program started in 2015 is currently active and ongoing.
Project description:
The Indigenous Health Dialogue (IHD) was established to enhance existing Indigenous health initiatives, create new opportunities for programming, and purposefully respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Calls to Action. Since its inception, the program has aimed to build capacity for promoting principles of social accountability, cultural safety, and equitable partnerships. In a push to strengthen coordination around Indigenous health initiatives within the CSM, the IHD has actively explored what the TRC Calls to Action may mean for our school and community partnerships, as means of building faculty and community capacity for aligning goals and outcomes.

Lunch and Learn Series: A Path Forward Through the Indigenous Health Dialogue
This Lunch and Learn series is focused on engaging individuals from different departments, units, institutes and faculties in meaningful conversation in large group and smaller breakout sessions, to inspire a plan to move Indigenous health forward within the CSM. The series is co-hosted by Drs. Lindsay Crowshoe and Rita Henderson.
