Biography

Dr. Jarvis received his BSc in Biochemistry and PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Calgary before doing a research fellowship in Montpellier, France. He came home to do medical school, a Neurology residency, and a clinical fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis in Calgary. He then moved to San Francisco where he focused on child-care and studied the applications of new technologies in neurological diseases. He returned to Calgary in 2015 to work in the Multiple Sclerosis (South Health Campus) and General neurology (Alberta Neurologic Centre) clinics.

Dr. Jarvis is also involved in research and education. His research focuses on symptom management and the use of novel devices to quantify and treat neurological deficits. He is also a co-chair and lecturer for Course 5 (Neurosciences and Aging) at the University of Calgary medical school, where he hopes to inspire legions of future neurologists.
