Clinical Research Fund

The CCCR administers the Clinical Research Fund (CRF). The CRF is a joint partnership between the Cumming School of Medicine and Alberta Health Services designed to provide funding to support high-impact research and promote research innovation.

The CRF provides funding to University of Calgary clinical researchers in the form of pre-submission, seed and major grants, focusing on three primary goals:

  • to increase the number of high-impact, University of Calgary-led clinical research studies;
  • to increase the university’s success in attracting Tri-Council funding for clinical studies; and
  • to improve both the Alberta health system and the health of Albertans.
