Training & Education
The CCCR offers training and education for university investigators, coordinators and research staff. Currently, our office coordinates regular Lunch and Learn sessions that cover a variety of topics from research administration, operations, budgeting and more. We also coordinate the delivery of OnCore CTMS training and education in collaboration through the Provincial OnCore Support Team (POST) - a sub-unit of the CCCR.
Health Research – “How-To…” Webinars
The “How-to” webinar series covers a range of topics relevant to researchers, coordinators, and study teams. These webinars aim to:
- provide new and updated information relevant to clinical trials and research
- educate research teams on various aspects of clinical trials and other types of research
- offer an opportunity for research teams to connect with experts
- provide an opportunity to address questions and discuss the clinical research environment
The webinars are 30 minute monthly educational sessions, scheduled on the last Monday of the month from 12:00 to 12:30.
These webinars are online and accessible to research staff located at the University of Calgary Foothills Campus, Alberta Children’s Hospital, University of Calgary main campus, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre, South Health Campus, Cross Cancer Institute, and the University of Alberta. Past webinars will be shared on the CCCR website.
We are happy to hear if you have any suggestions or topic ideas!
The Research “How-To…” Webinars were formerly known as “Health Research Platform Lunch and Learns”.
