Training & Education
The CCCR recognizes the importance of comprehensive training and onboarding for university investigators, coordinators and research staff. We facilitate a variety of training opportunities, detailed below.
Researcher's Guide to Clinical Trials at the University of Calgary
This comprehensive guide has been developed by the Calgary Centre for Clinical Research to support both current and new research teams as they navigate the complexities of clinical trial conduct at UCalgary.
As you know, conducting clinical trials involves a lot of administration and coordination. Our guide provides essential insights into acronyms, teams, systems, procedures, and more, ensuring that you have the necessary knowledge at your fingertips.
Key Features of the Guide:
- Streamlined Onboarding: The guide is designed to facilitate the onboarding of new clinical trial staff.
- Supported Orientation: In addition to the guide, we will be hosting optional, personalized onboarding sessions. These meetings will allow you to discuss how the guide applies to your specific studies and address any questions you may have. To schedule an orientation meeting, email cccr@ucalgary.ca
- Centralized Resource: With hundreds of clinical trials conducted each year at UCalgary, this guide serves as a vital tool to help teams efficiently run their studies.
We encourage all clinical trial teams to review the guide and share it with others who may find it useful.
