How to Apply (Researchers)

Visiting Researchers

The Calgary Stroke Visiting Researcher Program provides physicians with an opportunity to work on research projects with clinician scientists and researchers at the Calgary Stroke Program.

Applications are accepted year-round.  There is no stipend or salary provided by the program, the Alberta Health Services or The University of Calgary. The program encourages applicants to apply for scholarships from their parent programs or local institutions to support their visit.

To apply for the Visiting Researcher Program, please write a letter expressing interest along with your CV to lori.herard@ucalgary.ca.  Your CV will be reviewed and if you are accepted by the program, we will contact you to determine next steps and potential date of joining. A letter from your current Institute will be required verifying that you will be returning to your position at the end of your time in Calgary. A copy of your passport is required. You must have proof of funds for your entire stay. Once a start date has been determined, Immigration will be contacted to determine if you qualify. You will receive an Invitation Letter after qualification has been confirmed.

There is a non-refundable administration fee of $500CDN for processing your application.
