VIL Group Meeting

Most Mondays 9h30 - 11h in the Seaman Centre Family Conference Room (FMC MRG029). Attendance is required for group members; non-group members may also attend. Currently, we meet with the Souza and Bento research groups by Zoom.

Advanced Imaging Seminar Series
Every second Thursday at 13h - 14h, October - May, location varies. Organized by the Medical Imaging (MEDI) Specialization. Attendance strongly advised for VIL members. Participation required for all trainees in the Medical Imaging (MEDI) Specialization, and strongly suggested for other trainees.

HBI Seminar Series
Every Friday at 12h-13h, September - May, typically in HSC Clara Christie Theatre.
Weekly seminars with a focus on Neuroscience and Mental Health. Organized by the Hotchkiss Brain Institute.

IEEE Latin America Paper

Kauê Publishes work on Attention Blocks in WMH Disease

Kauê Duarte and his co-authors in Calgary, Campinas and Edmonton published their methodology for improving the accuracy of deep-learning based methods for segmenting white matter hyperintensities (WMH), a common MR finding in diseases of aging. Congratulations on another WMH segementation paper! (July 2025)
