Trainees, including undergraduate students, are encouraged to present and publish their research findings. Graduate students and fellows typically attend (and present at) one national or international meeting per year.

In the past few years, we have presented at many locations around the world, including most recently Campinas, Stellenbosch (South Africa), Chicago, Cincinnati, Geneva, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Honolulu, London, Melbourne, Milan, New York, Paris, Rio de Janerio, Rome, Sendai (Japan), Singapore and Valparaíso (Chile).

We regularly attend and present at the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine annual meeting and at their sponsored specialty workshops, as well as the Society for Magnetic Resonance Angiography annual meeting. We also like to attend and present at more specialized meetings, such as the International CAA and Vas•Cog meetings.

We were proud to host the Society for Magnetic Resonance Angiography meeting in 2011 in beautiful Banff, Alberta. This was great opportunity to welcome our international colleagues to visit us in the nearby Rocky Mountains. We also organized and virtually hosted from Calgary the 2020 Society for Magnetic Resonance Angiography meeting.

We also frequently attend regional and national meetings, typically held in Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver.

Since 2011,

we have organized the one-day Alberta Imaging Symposium each spring, where senior students and fellows are invited to present.

In addition, most undergraduate and graduate students in their first year are expected to attend and present at the Alberta Biomedical Engineering meeting, held each fall in beautiful Banff, Alberta!
