Hypothalamic Hamartomas: A lifelong syndrome!

We are excited to invite you to the 5^th international symposium on Hypothalamic Hamartomas, hosted by the Univeristy of Calgary and supported by Hope for Hypothalamic Hamartomas

This time we are going to have an exciting day of discussion and teaching all around the topic “Hypothalamic Hamartomas: A lifelong syndrome!”

We are honoured to have a distinct international faculty join the meeting for presentations and discussion.

The main learning objectives for this symposium are to:

• Understand the natural progression of HH syndromes across the life span and identify the correct timing for therapeutic intervention
• Make clinical decision for patients with HH according to the newly developed  diagnostic and treatment guidelines
• Discuss different options for interventions that either disconnect or remove HH, including possible advantages and disadvantages of techniques with respect to size and location of the HH
• Care for patients with HH beyond epilepsy in a multidisciplinary approach

7:15am Meet your Discover Canada Tours Guide at Residence Inn by Marriot

7:30am-9:30am Travel to Lake Louise through the beautiful Kananaskis Country.

9:30-11:00am Arrive in Lake Louise this morning, view the beautiful emerald-coloured lake and the Victoria Glacier at the backdrop. Option to join your guide for a hike to the Fairview Lookout for a view of Lake Louise and the Fairmont Chateau Hotel.

11:00am-11:30pm Travel to the town of Banff.

11:30am-12:15pm Free time to have lunch on Banff Avenue.

12:15pm-12:30pm Drive to Banff Gondola.

12:30-1:45pm Ride the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for a view of Bow Valley and 6 stunning mountain ranges from the state of the art building that sits on top.

2:00pm Depart for Calgary, arriving back at 4:00pm.

• Registration for the event is not confirmed until full payment is received.  Access to the event will not be allowed until all fees have been paid.  All pricing is listed in CAD.
