Dictation Tips

Call 403.220.7132

  1. The Nuance system searches for the patient using the Regional Health Number #. Please use the telephone keypad to provide this information. If you do not have this number please key in 999999, followed by the # sign.
  2. To aid in the distribution of reports please dictate both the first and last name of the recipient physician, as well as information regarding their location (clinic name, city, etc.)
  3. Physicians who are using eSignature are reminded to check their web portal frequently to sign off their documents.
  4. Physicians are reminded to avoid dictating from a cell phone; use a land line. A poor cell phone signal will affect the quality of the recording and a dropped signal will result in lost dictation.
  5. Reference posters and site-specific clinic codes are posted at all University of Calgary Medical Clinics at all AHS sites.
