Dictation Directions

All UCMG member physicians and their trainees must use their uniquely assigned speaker code. 
Codes are not to be shared.

  1. Dial UCMG's local dictation line: 1-844-200-5777. 
  2. Enter your speaker code followed by #.
  3. Enter the five digit clinic code followed by #.
  4. Enter the regional health number followed by #. If you don’t have this number, key in 999999 followed by #.
  5. Press 2 to begin dictating.
  6. Dictate report. Please clearly state:
    a) Your full name.
    b) Clinic name and location. 
    c) Patient name, date of birth, regional health number, and provincial health care number. 
    d) Name and Location for ALL Recipients.
    Press * for your receipt number while at first prompt after completing dictation. Record this number for future reference.
  7. Press 7 to end dictation and record the receipt number for provided. Refer to keypad prompts for options to continue with additional dictations.
