Celebrating Outstanding Alumni

CUMMING SCHOOL OF MEDICINE | Alumni of Distinction Awards

Each year we select winners in up to three categories: Service, Education, and Research. We encourage nominations of alumni who have diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Nominations are now closed.  The winners will be chosen by the members of the Medicine Alumni Advisory Council and announced early in 2025. 

Past ARCH winners and posthumous nominations are not eligible for consideration.

For contributions to education in any context

AODA - Research

Includes biomedical research, clinical research, health services research and social, cultural, environmental, and population health research

The ARCH Awards celebrate the changemakers, the risk-takers and trailblazers sparking meaningful change.

The 2025 ARCH Award Award nominations are now open!

Arch Award recipients are leaders and innovators. These UCalgary graduates have shown excellence in their profession and are champions for the betterment of their communities.  The Arch Awards are the highest honour awarded by the UCalgary Alumni Association. Since 1985, they have celebrated bold alumni who have transformed business and community, art and technology, sport and health, for the betterment of all. Deadline for submitting a nomination is March 2, 2025.
