An introduction to Accreditation

The Undergraduate Medical Education program of the CSM has maintained continuous accreditation from the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) since the first students were admitted in 1970. 

We invite CSM community members to share your comments by emailing the appropriate committee chair or by speaking to one of the committee members. We want broad input from faculty, staff, students and anyone who has a stake in the success of our medical school. Comments will be considered and addressed by the appropriate committee chairs.

UME Accreditation Review 2024

October 21-23 (virtual)
December 2-3 (on-site)

Preparations continue for the 2024 CACMS accreditation review which will be conducted virtually from October 21-21, 2024, followed by an on-site visit December 2-3, 2024.

A schedule for the October visit will be available by mid-September, with all participants to be notified of specific session times.

Independent Student Analysis (ISA) Report
This report was written by a committee of current medical students and provides an analysis of the 2023 ISA survey based on questions mandated by CACMS.
