This research study was based on data from our child and adult tic disorder registries. Over 6-12 months we observed a meaningful improvement in tic severity scores in youth and adults with functional tic-like behaviours.

This research study was based on data from the adult tic disorder registry. From this study we learned that patients with functional tic-like behaviors and patients with tics have similar premonitory urge and thus this would not be a useful way to distinguish between the two.
