Do you see challenges in your workplace or community that need change but feel powerless to make an impact? Are you frustrated by policies, inequities, or systemic barriers in the Emergency Department that affect your ability to provide the best care? Advocacy is a powerful tool that can transform frustration into action, reconnecting you with your purpose while driving meaningful change in healthcare.
Join us for a dynamic 3-hour workshop designed to equip Emergency Medicine faculty, nurses, administrators, leaders, and residents with the essential skills to advocate effectively, ethically, and strategically. Using workplace violence in the Emergency Department as a case study (work led by Drs. Margriet Greidanus, Katie Gourlay, Pavneet Singh), this session will introduce a practical, skills-based approach to advocacy. Led by experienced advocates Dr. Fabreau and Dr. Coakley, this training will empower participants to push forward initiatives that improve healthcare policies, influence decisionmakers, and create lasting impact.
