Scott Banks, Emergency Medicine Zone Department Manager
Scott is the Calgary Zone Department Manager for Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Scott has served in management roles at Alberta Health Services for 17 years, and he has over 30 years in total of management experience. Scott has a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Calgary specializing in Human Resources and International Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Regina. Scott is a 27 year Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) in Alberta and holds a Certified International Trade Professional Designation (CITP) in Canada. Previously Scott served as the Vice President of Operations & Human Resources at The Brenda Strafford Foundation, and as Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at a for-profit healthcare college in Oahu, Hawaii. He has also served as a Development Consultant with the Canadian International Development Agency in Guyana, Manager of the Mount Royal University Small Business Training Centre, and as a Market Intelligence Researcher at the Canadian High Commission in Trinidad. In addition, he served as the Manager of Business Training and Commercial Accounts with the Business Development Bank of Canada. Scott has lived and/or worked in Hawaii, Canada, Trinidad, Guyana, Haiti, and Dominica. Scott is married and has two active teenage boys. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, jogging, travelling, and volunteering with World Vision.

Jordan-Rose is a dedicated administrative professional with over seven years of experience with both AHS and the UofC. In her role, she provides exceptional support to the Department Head, and Department Manager of the Calgary Zone Emergency Medicine. Her strong work ethic is complemented by a positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of her team and the community they serve. As a highly motivated individual, she consistently seeks opportunities to enhance her skills and knowledge, which enables her to adapt to the ever-evolving demands of the healthcare environment.
When not working, Jordan-Rose can usually be found spending quality time with her family. She has a passion for camping, swimming, snowboarding, and all things outdoors.

Lilian Prudencio Team Lead
Lilian joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as an Administrative Assistant in Feb 2018, where she has continuously demonstrated great dedication and excellence in her work. Lilian is well known at AHS for her upbeat, positive, get-things-done attitude. Prior to joining AHS, Lilian worked for over 5 years as an Administrative Assistant at a Calgary based long-term care facility.
Lilian was born and raised in the Philippines and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Management Accounting from the University of the Northern Philippines in 2000, prior to relocating to Canada.
Ruchi Sharma Admin Assistant to Dr. James Andruchow, Deputy Department Head
Ruchi Sharma Joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as an Administrative Assistant V in October, 2024. Prior to joining our team, Ruchi served in a variety of roles at AHS including most recently as an Administrative Support III with public health in Tuberculosis clinic assisting with patients scheduling, registering, checking-in, everyday clinic chart prep and reception duties. Ruchi joined the AHS in 2019 as Administrative Support II with immunization clinics and served as Covid Screener during the pandemic
She has also worked previously as Administrative Assistant with Global Mortgage Experts Inc., JPS Aulakh Mortgage, Women in Need Society (Non-profit organization) and as sales floor team member with Target Canada.
Ruchi has completed her Master’s degree in Computer Application from Sikkim Manipal University, India. She also got her professional Administrative Skills Training and certification from Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association in 2014. She Moved to Canada in 2012 with her family (husband and a little boy) and fell in love with this beautiful country. She loves spending time with her girl’s gang and exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains with family.
Ruchi is highly motivated, self-directed, a great team player, multitasker, creative, respectful to others, hard working with a positive attitude. She is very passionate about achieving new goals in healthcare administration. She is approachable, focused, determined, believes in building strong relationships, and looking forward to giving her best by assisting physicians and other staff in the Emergency Medicine department.
Natalie Sun Communications Analyst
Natalie is a visual designer and communications specialist specializing in graphics and website management. She received her diploma in Multimedia, Communications and Design in 2003 and has worked for numerous profit and non-profits. She enjoys building community relations and being a storyteller for the marginalized. Natalie enthusiastically supports Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Obstetrics & Gynecology – all in the Calgary Zone.
As a native Calgarian, she enjoys hiking in the mountains with her amazing husband, energetic son and amazing rescue pup!
Madhavi Talasila FRCP Residency Program Administrator
Madhavi was born and raised in India where completed Masters in Environmental Sciences. She came to Calgary in 2007 and joined the department of Emergency Medicine in 2008. It’s been 16 years of service in Emergency Medicine in different administrative roles.
Madhavi, better known as residency “mom”, and served the residency program for the past 7 years. She brings an energetic approach to work as an administrative support person to Program Directors, Residents and Physicians with entrusted support. Her priority has always been to provide exceptional and compassionate support in the department. Madhavi was awarded the 2022 “Excellence of Service In Support of Residency Award”.
Madhavi enjoys hiking in the mountains with family and friends, cooking Indian dishes and watching movies.
