Promote lifelong learning

To provide high-quality, accessible, and accredited educational programs that support the ongoing professional development of surgeons and surgical teams.

Enhance patient care and safety

To ensure that all educational activities are informed by current evidence, best practices, and quality improvement principles that translate into improved clinical outcomes.

Foster collaboration and academic excellence

To cultivate interdisciplinary learning environments that encourage mentorship, scholarship, and the exchange of ideas across surgical disciplines.

Support professional standards and regulatory requirements

To align CME programming with institutional priorities and national frameworks, including maintenance of certification, licensure, and the Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP).
