The Section of Urology is based at the Rockyview General Hospital at the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology (SAIU). Our team includes 14 adult urologists and 3 pediatric urologists who serve patients at all acute-care sites in Calgary. They provide care to individuals with a variety of urological conditions.

Our Section offers specialized programs, including the Chronic Kidney Stone Clinic at the South Health Campus, Men’s Health Program at SAIU, vesia [Alberta Bladder Centre] at SAIU, and prostate cancer rapid-access clinics at the Prostate Cancer Centre.

Contributions to teaching and research are valued by our team. We provide clerkship, teaching, supervision, and PGY-1 teaching. We also run two fellowship programs through the section. These include a fellowship in urologic oncology and a fellowship in reconstructive and functional urology. Our urologists are involved in a variety of clinical trials and basic science research.
