Resources
The Office of Surgical Research (OSR) has a variety of resources available for department researchers, including statistical support, a resource manual, our strategic plan, and newsletter. If you have questions or need assistance with any of the resources, please contact us.
Statistical Support
The Office of Surgical Research provides statistical support to all Department of Surgery members, residents, and medical students being supervised within the department. We ask anyone who requests biostatistical support to complete a short survey. Completion of the survey allows us to triage requests and help determine the level of support required. We will contact you shortly after your submission is received. If you require more information or have questions, please contact our biostatistician.
Resource Manual
The Office of Surgical Research has created a resource manual that provides information to assist with navigating the administrative processes at the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services. The manual includes a variety of information, including information on the different institutes within the university and how to obtain membership in them, external and internal grant applications, key contacts throughout the University of Calgary and AHS, hiring processes, and ethics applications.
If you have questions about conducting research or navigating the research landscape, as well as questions or suggestions about what could be included in future versions of this document, please contact Emi Sanders.
