Title: Damage Control Interventions in Prehospital Trauma Care
Description: We will review the latest evidence and current guidelines for hemostatic interventions performed in prehospital trauma care including application of pelvic binders, hemostatic dressings, tourniquets, as well as prehospital REBOA and thoracotomy. The main theme of the presentation is the importance of time -- focusing on expediting transfer to a tertiary center for definitive surgical care and only performing interventions that are absolutely required or do not prolong time to transfer.
