The Darwish Symposium is an annual event. This year's theme is Neuro-Oncology. It is an important topic in the specialized field of medicine. This event is open to everyone interested in neurology, oncology and dermatology.
This special lecture and symposium is supported by the Dr. Sam Darwish Memorial Lectureship in Pediatric Neurology Endowment through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

As a pediatric neuro-oncologist, a physician-scientist, a devoted mentor, and Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Neurology, Dr. Khakoo exemplifies extraordinary humanism through her caring and thoughtful communication with patients and colleagues; her devotion to patient advocacy; and her work with medical education and support of women and underrepresented minorities in medicine.
Dr. Yasmin Khakoo will also be presenting at the Paediatric Grand Rounds the day before. The Paediatric Grand Rounds are from 8:30 – 9:30 AM on Wednesdays.
