Presented by: Rob Orman, MD
Dr. Orman is an Emergency Physician from Bend, Oregon. He is a physician coach, both privately and with Guidewire Coaching, and creator of the Stimulus Podcast and ERcast.
The retreat offers an opportunity for attendees to explore actionable strategies for stress recalibration, resilience-building, and performance optimization under pressure. It is structured in three key sessions, each building on the previous.
Session 1: Self-Mastery – Recalibration Under Stress
This session explores how professionals can reset after being triggered by threshold events—moments that exceed typical coping mechanisms.
Session 2: Finding Flow in Work as a Resilience and Anti-Burnout Tool
Flow is a state of optimal engagement where individuals feel energized, focused, and productive. This session breaks down the science of flow and provides tools to integrate it into everyday work, increasing job satisfaction and reducing burnout.
Session 3: Mental Prep & Decompression: Perform at Your Best, Leave Work at Work
Description: Establishing intentional rituals at the beginning and end of the workday is essential for maintaining performance and well-being. This session introduces practical tools to set the tone before work, process the day effectively, and transition out of work without carrying stress home.
