Respirology
The Section of Pediatric Respirology, based at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, provides care to the children of southern Alberta and neighbouring Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Our faculty is comprised of Pediatric Respirologists, along with a group of dedicated pediatricians, trainees and allied health professionals working together to provide comprehensive care to the patients we serve.
We provide excellence in clinical care and research spanning all areas of Pediatric Respirology, including:
- Asthma
- Complex airways, tracheostomy, home ventilation
- Congenital diaphragmatic hernia long term follow up
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Cystic Fibrosis Newborn Screening
- General pulmonary diseases
- Home oxygen
- Pulmonary complications of neuromuscular diseases
- Pediatric sleep disorders
- Pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease
- RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) prophylaxis
- Tracheoesophageal fistula long term follow up
A physician Referral is required for all Clinics. Please contact your physician or family doctor.
The Section promotes ongoing research in collaboration with the Department and other partners.
Asthma resources: Community Pediatric Asthma Service
- Provides asthma education and spirometry to pediatric asthma patients and their families within Calgary and Area
