Our section completed the first-ever immediate mouth, jaw, and facial reconstruction surgery for oral, head, and neck cancer. This “Jaw in a Day” reconstructive surgery combined free flap defect reconstruction with bone and soft tissue, immediate dental implants, and teeth. This treatment provides earlier return to function and minimizes the devastating effects of facial deformity secondary to head and neck cancer surgery.
