Mini C-Arm Training
The Mini C-Arm is a fluoroscopy device designed to be used intraoperatively in the main operating room or the minor procedure room by a surgeon who is a Qualified Operator of the Mini C-Arm. The device is commonly used to look at extremities, with or without a cast, though the device will not penetrate thick plaster casts.
For more information, please review the Use of Fluoroscopy: C-Arm and Mini C-Arm and Mini C-Arm Policies and Procedures. Please also visit Radiology Matrix and select the Fluoroscopy Radiation Safety course for more information on the training and benefits. Training is available for residents during their time in Surgical Foundations.
