General Duties:
Family Physician (CCFP) – Advanced Primary Care
Are you a Family Physician who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and looking for a practice model that truly supports both physicians and patients?
Advanced Primary Care is redefining primary care in Alberta through a hybrid-funded, team-based Patient-Centered Medical Home model. Our physicians work alongside Registered Nurses, Medical Laboratory Assistants, Medical Office Assistants, and Allied Health Professionals within our Total Advanced Care Team (TACTeam) to deliver comprehensive, coordinated, and relationship-based care.
Our physicians work within a collaborative environment supported by:
Registered Nurses
Medical Laboratory Assistant

Psychologists
Kinesiologists
Massage Therapists
On-site laboratory services
Procedure room, ECG, spirometry, and virtual care capabilities
Our approach allows physicians to focus on practicing high-quality medicine while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, innovative technology, and efficient clinic operations.
Position Summary:
As a Family Physician at Advanced Primary Care, you will provide comprehensive longitudinal family medicine while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
You will develop meaningful relationships with patients while benefiting from a practice model designed to improve patient outcomes, physician satisfaction, and work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive family medicine to patients across all stages of life
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Deliver preventive care and health screening
Collaborate closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff
Participate in coordinated care planning for complex patients
Utilize evidence-based clinical practices
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Participate in quality improvement initiatives Support a culture of teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care
Participate in virtual care services as appropriate
Qualifications:
Eligible for independent practice with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) or equivalent CMPA membership (or eligibility)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong commitment to collaborative, team-based care
Passion for innovation in primary care delivery Comfortable using electronic medical records and healthcare technology
