General Duties: 
Physicians in a community clinic have several important general duties. These duties include:
1. **Providing Primary Care**: Physicians are responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of common medical conditions, offering preventative care, and promoting overall health and wellness for patients of all ages.
2. **Patient Education**: Physicians must educate patients on managing their health conditions, understanding treatment options, and making lifestyle changes to improve their health. This includes providing information about medications, disease prevention, and healthy habits.
3. **Conducting Assessments and Diagnoses**: They must perform thorough physical examinations, take medical histories, order tests, and interpret diagnostic results to determine accurate diagnoses.
4. **Treatment Planning and Management**: Based on the diagnosis, physicians must develop personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and follow up on patient progress. They may also need to refer patients to specialists for more complex care.
5. **Collaboration with Healthcare Teams**: In a community clinic, physicians often work with nurses, medical assistants, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
8. **Managing Chronic Conditions**: Many patients in community clinics have chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, or asthma. Physicians are responsible for the ongoing management of these conditions to prevent complications.
