Frosh week is an annual event organized and run by the Engineering Students' Society (ESS). The event takes place annually on the second week of September (after Orientation Week). It provides a chance for first year Schulich School of Engineering students to mingle and network with upper year engineering students and bond with fellow first year students through some exciting activities.

Why are these activities important?

Frosh Week is an important event to attend for first year students because upper year engineering students officially welcome new students into the engineering culture. Students will meet mentors and valuable friends that will last them through their university life and beyond during these events.

What do you hope students take away from Frosh Week?

ESS hopes that students will have fun during these events and create lasting memories and relationships that will help them throughout their school career.

How does the ESS help students succeed?

The ESS, at first and foremost, is an organization run by students, for students. We strive our absolute best to help students succeed through a variety of services we offer. The ESS acts as a voice for students in academic and professional settings by representing student interest on various academic and professional boards. The ESS Store provides a variety of materials which will help students succeed, including selling course notes and lab books relevant to first year students' interests. In addition to many fun events we run throughout the year, the ESS organizes many large scale networking events, including the First and Second Year Dinner, tailored especially to first and second year students to give them exposure to their professional environment. In the near future, ESS will launch a professional development program to accompany our annual career fair.
