Reaching Across Borders Through Teaching Across Borders

Each undergrad in the Werklund School of Education takes part in several classroom placements before attaining his or her BEd degree.
There really isn’t a better way for pre-service teachers to learn about working with directly children, and the practicum also helps to hone their abilities in the subjects and grades they’ll teach.

But what if part of the students’ classroom exposure helps these teachers-to-be learn more about themselves as well, through a totally different experience?

That’s what the Teaching Across Borders (TAB) program is designed to do.  Beginning in the fall of 2015, the Werklund School of Education will offer students the opportunity to take part in a truly unique international experience in another part of the world.

In this Quick Chat, Roswita Dressler, Academic Coordinator for the TAB program, gives some detail about the program.
