Research Abstracts
The CLIC 2026 Scientific Committee invites abstract submissions for original research, scholarly work, innovations, and lived experiences related to longitudinal integrated clerkships and distributed medical education.
Submissions will be considered for oral presentations & posters
This year’s theme, Convergence: Learning through Connection, reflects the coming together of people, places, and perspectives that shape longitudinal learning and community-engaged medical education. We welcome work that explores how sustained relationships strengthen learning, care, and health systems across diverse contexts.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee based on originality, relevance, and scholarly merit.
Abstract Themes
Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts from a variety of innovative areas and aspects of medical education related to longitudinal integrated clerkships. Specifically, abstracts should be submitted in one or more of the following categories:
- LIC model design, development, and sustainability
- Curriculum design and innovation
- Assessment and program evaluation
- Learner experience and reflective practice
- Role of community in LIC education
- Indigenous engagement and partnership
- Interprofessional and team-based care
- Health systems impact, leadership, and policy
Presentation Formats
Oral Presentations
Oral presentation length will be determined based on the total number of abstracts accepted. Presenters will receive confirmation of their allotted time, including presentation and discussion, once scheduling is complete.
Poster Presentations
Posters will be grouped by theme and assigned to a dedicated session. Authors must be present at their poster during their scheduled time. Final presentation format and timing will be confirmed once the program is finalized.

- Please be sure to list all co-authors
- Level of interactivity will be considered in scoring.
