Biography
Dr. Stephanie Garner is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and rheumatologist at the University of Calgary. Dr. Garner completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Calgary and Rheumatology residency at McMaster University. She holds a Master’s degree in Medical Science from the University of Calgary in the area of models of care for patients with rheumatic disease. She also completed a clinical vasculitis fellowship supported by the Vasculitis Foundation and the Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium. She held a position as an Assistant Professor at McMaster University before moving to the University of Calgary in 2022.
Her area of clinical expertise and research interest includes vasculitis, pulmonary manifestations of rheumatic disease and pediatric transition care. She has published in these areas and continues to collaborate on clinical research in these fields. She also is involved in post graduate medical education and is the Competency by Design lead and Competency Committee chair.
