Working to build health equity in Indigenous, local and global communities
From Laos to Uganda, and across Calgary and southern Alberta, we’re proud to coordinate and execute projects that build health equity within communities in vulnerable settings. Use the links below to learn more about the initiatives, projects and partnerships undertaken by our office.
Spotlight
Through various collaborative initiatives with community partners, we seek to advance social and health equity both at home and abroad. Below are a few of our current initiatives.
Healthy Adolescents and Young People
Healthy Adolescents and Young People (HAY!) seeks to strengthen sexual and reproductive health and rights programming and services by supporting capacity building at district, health facility and community levels in southwest Uganda.
Indigenous Mural
The Indigenous Mural is driven by the desire to showcase more visual arts pieces which reflect Indigenous culture, tradition and storytelling which could influence policy and decision making by challenging us to think differently.
