Biography

Dr Nation is a professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Oncology in the Faculty of Medicine at the  University of Calgary. She is the   Medical Director of the Colposcopy Clinics in the Calgary Zone of Alberta Health Services.

 

 She received her medical degree from the University of Alberta in 1977 and her Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1983 followed by subspecialty training in Gynaecologic Oncology at the Universities of British Columbia and Manitoba. In her clinical work, she worked as a  gynecologic cancer surgeon for many years. Currently, her focus is on clinical cancer treatment as well as screening programs for cervical cancer and the investigation and treatment of pre-invasive cancers of the female lower genital tract
