Simrit Brar

Biography

Dr. Simrit Brar is a Royal College certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a born and raised Calgarian.  Dr. Brar has been working at the Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) since 2009 and enjoys the high risk and high acuity of the FMC.  She is currently Site Lead for Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Foothills Medical Centre as well as the Medical Informatics Lead for Women's Health in the Calgary Zone.  She is currently a member of a number of provincial working groups including the Women's Health Area Council, Maternal Newborn Child &Youth Strategic Clinical Network and the Alberta Pain Strategy Network.   Though her administrative and clinical roles keep her busy, she always finds time for her family and enjoys spending time (especially family game nights) with her three kids, husband and dog.
