CSM Supply Chain Notice

Praxair will be conducting its Annual Gas Cylinder Audit from March 22 to March 25, 2019. Any unused or empty cylinders should be returned to Distribution Services, HSB808 prior to Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

The University’s agreement with Praxair provides for yearly lease charges based on the number of cylinders on hand at the time of the audit. 

If a gas cylinder has been leased during the year but returned prior to the audit, no lease charge will be administered. However, all gas cylinders counted at the time of the audit (even if empty) will be charged the applicable lease fee.

In order to minimize lease charges, it is recommended that cylinder quantities be kept to a minimum, and that cylinders that are no longer required be returned to Praxair.

The lease fee is $32.04 for each gas cylinder and $ 555.77 for each Liquid Nitrogen/ Liquid Argon containers.

At the completion of the gas cylinder audit, Praxair will contact you for a credit card (PCard) number and the lease fee for each cylinder found at your location will be charged. Alternatively, you may request an invoice from Praxair and you can pay with a Purchase Order.
