In Memoriam: Michelle Hucul

The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) is mourning the loss of Dr. Michelle Hucul, MD, who passed away on Dec. 21, 2019 at the age of 35.

Michelle graduated from the Undergraduate Medical Education program in the spring of 2019. Following graduation, Michelle achieved her lifelong dream of beginning a residency in family medicine. Prior to attending the CSM, Michelle completed a degree in biomedical science at the University of Guelph and earned a master’s degree in anatomy at Queen’s University.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Knox United Church, 506 4th Street, Calgary. This will be followed by a fundraising dance in Michelle’s honour at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund for Dr. Michelle Hucul at the Cumming School of Medicine. These funds will be used to establish an award in Michelle’s name.
