V.132 Release Notes

Last week, we released V.132 of the UCalgary Web System. Please take a moment to review the release notes to see the updates included in the latest release.

What’s Fixed? 

Bugs and issues resolved in the latest release.  

  • Content migration script fixes

    • Accordion blocks, profile list filters, and trio CTA images now migrate correctly across environments.  

    • Fixed menu duplication when parent and child items share the same content during content migration. 

  • Fixed Ajax error that caused webform submissions to show a blank page.

  • Restored the custom cache-clearing functionality for views.

  • Corrected error when creating a content type due to missing sitemap function.

  • Fixed an issue where Instagram link wouldn’t display in pre-footer unless LinkedIn URL was filled – resolved dependency affecting social media icon visibility.

What’s New? 

New features, block enhancements, and system updates from the latest release.   

  • Added CSV export to Content and User pages. 

  • Updated to Drupal 10.4.7

  • Created a script to download all databases and helper functions to simplify operations in local development environment.

  • Restored the custom cache-clearing functionality for views.

  • Added the missing file to link the Degree Guide module to its Confluence page.  

  • Updated SimpleSAMLphp configuration for improved stability and security. 

     

Other items from this sprint 

  • Automated test fixes and improvements.  

 

In Progress 

Work that is currently in progress and will be included in an upcoming release.  

Fixes 

  • Outstanding CSS/JS aggregation issues, specifically with the accordion and masonry block.
  • Bug causing homepage URL aliases to break when pages are added to menus using the node edit form.

  • Fix missing menu options in Basic Page across all sites.

  • Broken links in the News Feed block that currently return 404 errors.

  • Fix issues with node alias redirects and redirecting files in the file manager.

  • CSS missing in the ai.ucalgary.ca environment.

  • Turn off default and existing revisions for Profile List blocks.

  • Unpublished pages cannot be found by title when adding menu links via structure > menu.

Enhancements   

  • Adjust block layout menu configurations so menus display correctly on new pages.

  • Update PHP and node version in base image.

  • Implement SSO to LiveWhale.

  • PHP Code Cleanup.  

Other 

  • Investigate the feasibility and effort to add Apple and Spotify options to the streaming media block.  

  • Review the XML sitemap to fix subdomain URLs, HTTPS links, and News sitemap errors.
