About

Biography

I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Critical Care Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Originally from Mexico City, I completed medical school at the National University Autonomous of Mexico. After graduation, I trained in Internal Medicine and subsequently in adult Critical Care Medicine in Mexico City. I then moved to Calgary and completed a Masters in Science degree at the University of Calgary. I joined the Department of Critical Care Medicine as a staff Intensivist in 2009. Currently I am serving as a Medical Director of the SHC ICU. My clinical practice focuses on multisystem critical care with special interest in delirium, sepsis and plasma exchange. I enjoyed reading and watching movies with my daughter Maria and my love Gabriela in my free time.
