Dr. Shahid is a postdoctoral associate at the Department of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Shahid received her PhD in translational research from the University of Alberta and joined the C3 Research Network to bring more family partnership into intensive care. Her current work examines the role of family in assessing pain in critically ill patients as well as having families provide coaching to patients during difficult procedures.
