Director of Learner Resources
Dr. Aleksandra Mineyko, MD FRCPC (Away Until July 2026)
Dr. Aleksandra Mineyko is a practicing pediatric neurologist. Her work focuses on supporting learners experiencing academic difficulty while partnering with program directors and faculty to strengthen learning environments. Her interests include faculty development, assessment literacy, and the design of humane, growth-oriented learning supports grounded in caring integrity, respect, and realistic optimism. Her approach to medical education is informed by developmental neuroscience and by how people learn, adapt, and how the brain changes over time. Outside of medicine, she is an avid mountain biker, where challenge, failure, and iterative learning are integral to progress. Together, these perspectives guide her commitment to research-informed innovation, national collaboration, and cultural change in medical education that counters perfectionism, reduces stigma, and embraces failure as a meaningful part of professional development.
