There is an Indigenous Research Support Team available at the University of Calgary to assist members with Indigenous research and/or engagement with Indigenous communities.
Support includes:
- 1:1 consultations for Indigenous research projects or teams based at UCalgary
- Advanced support for UCalgary REB applications involving Indigenous research
- Advanced support for UCalgary pre-award funding applications involving Indigenous research
- Advising for Indigenous community engagement and cultural protocol, focusing on Treaty 7 and Alberta broadly
- Comprehensive research coordination support for Indigenous scholars at UCalgary (across internal and external processes)
- Information sessions for cross-campus UCalgary researchers engaging in Indigenous research, cutting across funding applications and agency guidelines, ethics and data management concerns, and relationship-building and community engagement for research
- Participation in Canada-wide community-of-practice on Indigenous research and research administration in post-secondary institutions
